Last night, OMPC Artists Creating in Community held its second night of creative offerings. Below are a few samples of the beauty that was shared.
Tricia Robinson: Door of Hope
“Therefore, behold, I will allure her and bring her into the wilderness, and speak tenderly to her. And there I will give her her vineyards and make the Valley of Achor, (valley of trouble) a door of hope.”
These verses strongly revealed the powerful love God has not only for me but also, our dear little one that still awaits us in China. My heart has been burdened much over our daughter, who we are bringing home in a few months. We wait. We pray. We hope. We are so excited. But we also hurt because her life has not started easy or safe. I wonder about her life in the orphanage…. Is she scared at night? Is she warm? Does she feel love? What does she think about as she lies in her crib night after night? There is ache… there has been the valley of trouble for her. But yes, there is hope. She has no idea what awaits her 1/2 way around the world. She already has a family- a father, a mother, a sister, a brother who already love her dearly. She’s been covered in prayer, lifted up to Jesus day after day… night after night.
God has a strong heart for the orphan. He fights for her. He loves her. He opens the door of Hope.
